Modern websites for businesses that have outgrown their old one.

Most of my work is taking a dated, hard-to-use website and turning it into one that brings in customers. Ongoing care and a security checkup are there when you need them.

Website revamp

A new site, designed around how your customers actually use it, and built properly from the ground up.

Best for: sites that look dated, break on phones, are slow, or are painful to update.

  • Discovery call and site reviewWhat's working, what's not, and what your customers come to the site to do.
  • A clickable homepage conceptSee the direction before the full build, and change course early if it's not right.
  • Custom design, no recycled templateColors, type and layout chosen for your business, not anyone else's.
  • The features your business needsMenus, booking links, galleries, forms, maps, hours that show "open now", events.
  • Copy cleanupClear, scannable wording for the pages that matter, written with you.
  • Search and social setupPage titles, descriptions, business details for Google, share previews and a sitemap.
  • Set up properlyFast hosting, a secure connection and the technical details handled before launch.
  • Launch and handoverDomain and DNS moved carefully, old links redirected, and a walkthrough when it's live.

Care plan

Your website, looked after every month. You run the business; I keep the site current, safe and online.

Best for: owners who want a dependable person to message when something needs changing.

  • Monthly updates and checksSoftware, certificates, links and forms tested so nothing quietly breaks.
  • Uptime monitoringIf the site goes down, I hear about it first, usually before you do.
  • BackupsKept off-site, with older versions on hand if something needs rolling back.
  • Content changesNew hours, menu updates, holiday notices, new photos. Send a message; it gets done.
  • A short monthly summaryVisits, what changed, and anything worth your attention.

Security checkup

A review of your current website, domain and hosting, with the important gaps taken care of. Your design stays as it is.

Best for: sites that show "Not secure" in the browser, or that nobody has looked at in years.

  • A full look under the hoodYour site, domain, hosting and email setup, checked over by someone with an IT background.
  • Fixes for what mattersAnything that puts your site or your customers at risk gets taken care of.
  • No more warningsVisitors see a secure connection instead of a browser warning.
  • A plain-English summaryWhat I found, what I changed, and anything worth keeping an eye on.

Common questions

How much does a website cost?

It depends on the number of pages and features, like online booking or a menu you can edit yourself. After a short call I'll send a fixed quote, so you know the full price before any work starts.

Do I have to pay for the concept?

No. If your project is a good fit, I'll build a clickable concept of your new homepage so you can see the direction first. If it's not for you, there's no obligation.

How long does a revamp take?

Most small business sites take two to four weeks from the approved concept to launch. The biggest factor is usually how quickly content like photos and menu details comes together.

Will I be able to update the site myself?

Yes, if you want to. I can set up simple editing for the parts that change often, like hours, menus or events. If you'd rather not touch it, the care plan covers changes for you.

I already have a site on WordPress, Wix or Squarespace. Can you help?

Yes. I can tidy up what you have, or rebuild it as something faster and easier to look after. I'll explain the tradeoffs and let you choose.

Do I keep ownership of my domain and site?

Always. Your domain stays registered in your name, and you'll have access to everything. If you ever want to move on, I'll hand it all over.

Do we need to meet in person?

No. I work by phone, Zoom or email, whichever suits you. That keeps things quick and means I can work with businesses anywhere.

Not sure where to start?

Send me your current site. I'll take a look and tell you honestly what I'd fix first.
